How AiCalla works

Protection that works with your Phone app.

Build your Shield, enable Android Call Screening and stay in control of what rings, stays quiet or gets blocked.

1

Build your Shield

Answer four practical questions about unknown calls, interruptions, repeat callers and expected callbacks. AiCalla recommends a profile and explains its behaviour before you confirm it.

2Android setup

Turn on Android call screening

Android asks you to select AiCalla as the caller ID and call-screening app. This system role lets Shield evaluate eligible incoming calls locally.

3

Keep your normal Phone app

Selecting AiCalla for caller ID and call screening does not replace your default Phone app. You continue answering and declining calls in the app you already use.

4

Receive a local decision

Personal rules, Shield settings, repeat patterns and valid locally cached context are evaluated on the device. Android receives Ring, Silence or Block without waiting for the cloud.

5

Use optional Caller Insight

When Android and your device allow it, a compact and dismissible card can explain why an unknown call is ringing above your normal Phone app.

6

Use optional fallback alerts

Lock-screen alerts and privacy-aware notifications can provide context or safe actions when Caller Insight cannot appear. Screening continues when either presentation permission is unavailable.

7

Review Shield Calls

Shield Calls is a private history of screened incoming calls, not your complete Phone Recents list. See the outcome, plain-language reason and available local context.

8

Manage personal rules

Trust, Silence or Block a caller for the future. Your personal choices take priority over your broader Shield profile and Community reports.

9Call Window

Use Expecting a Call

Start a Call Window for 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours or until a specific end time. Ordinary unknown callers may ring temporarily while Block and Silence rules remain in force.

10

Act from Caller Profile

Bring AiCalla activity, personal settings, available identity context and Community reports together. Record Asked to stop or prepare a local Evidence Summary when appropriate.

11

Understand Community context

A Community report and a personal future-call rule are separate choices. Reports may change and do not block callers on their own.

12Local-first

Keep working when the network is slow

Live screening does not wait for backend requests. If bounded local context cannot load safely in time, AiCalla falls back conservatively and lets the call ring. Eligible activity can back up later.

13

Choose Free or Plus

Core Shield protection remains useful on Free. Monthly or Yearly Plus removes AiCalla ads; Google Play shows the localised price and manages Billing.

14

Check compatibility

AiCalla supports Android 10 or newer. Device manufacturers and system settings can affect optional overlay, notification and background behaviour.

Your Phone app stays

Android setup does not replace your Phone app

Android asks you to select AiCalla as the caller ID and call-screening app. This does not replace your default Phone app.

Graceful fallback

Presentation permissions are optional

Overlay and notification access improve the experience, but Shield screening continues when either is unavailable.
